1991 Pontiac Firebird
In 1991 all Pontiac Firebirds have undergone restyling and got new noses, a bit
designed from Banshee, the fourth generation platform. Also in this year the Firebird
convertible was again introduced. This new styling gave improvement in the Pontiac
Firebird's sales in the market. The styling included the Trans Am's ground effects.
Hence the Firebird base model has available new Trans Am ground effects. Fiberglass
constructed flat wrap-around wing spoilers was made available for both the Trans
Am and Formula.

The N10 dual cats were made standard for all L98 vehicles. Two pieces of taillights
were added to Trans Am and GTA, with PONTIAC that was scripted in orange across
the panels. The center high mounted stop lamps were moved to inside top edge of
the hatch. Another change was the body sealants that gave more rigid look to the
Firebird. Also, the firebirds with tops were sent to ASC to be converted to convertibles
that have been through the GM. Convertibles feature engines such as the LHO 3.1-liter
V6, L03 5.0-liter V8, and LB9 5.0-liter V8.
