2002 Pontiac Firebird
The 2002 Pontiac is available in Firebird, Formula and Trans Am that comes in
coupe and convertible body styles. These body styles both feature the 3.8-liter
V6 engine that generates 200 horsepower. Transmission offered for the base Firebird
is the 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic as an option, while automatic as standard
or 6-speed manual for the Formula and Trans Am. 2002 Pontiac Firebird is very
powerful but definitely controllable.

The Formula coupe, and the Trans Am coupe and convertible feature the 5.7-liter
V8 engine that makes 310 horsepower and the optional WS6 Ram Air with 325 horsepower.
These engines offer the 4-speed automatic transmission as standard that can be
equipped with 6-speed manual gearbox. The Rams Air package include Ram air induction,
17-inch wheels, Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, special low-restriction exhaust, power
steering cooler, and tuned suspension. But the coupe have removable hatch roof
with sunshades, remote keyless entry, 6-way power driver's seat, and audible theft
deterrent which are offered as standard.
All Firebirds feature power antenna, remote mirrors, automatic door locks, power
windows with express down function on the driver's side, air conditioning, AM/FM
audio system with CD player, rear spoiler, power steering, tachometer, tires and
wheels, full-length center console, cruise control, electric rear window defroster,
fog lights, power hatch release, and concealed quartz halogen headlights. Also
featured for Firebirds with V8 engines is the power steering cooler.
